Product placement … in a commercial?
Smack in the middle of a new commercial for Kelsey's is a glass of Molson Canadian. Is it product integration gone wild?
Seeing a sparkling brewski that just happens to be plunked on a table surrounded by happy diners chowing down at a Kelsey’s restaurant may have seemed like yet another step in product integration. But it was actually a ‘serendipitous compliment to us from one of our best customers,’ Molson marketing VP Rob Assimakopoulos tells Media in Canada.’It’s awesome to see Kelsey’s supporting our brand like this. But then their president, Dave Minnitt, used to be a Molson guy.’
