MIJO takes on pre-clearance for natural health product ads

Now that Health Canada will no longer endorse consumer advertising pre-clearance agencies for natural health products, Toronto-based MIJO has added that service.

On Dec. 8, Health Canada established a criteria-based system for consumer advertising pre-clearance agencies to self-qualify. MIJO’s Broadcast Clearance Advisory (BCA) division meets the criteria, and has been posted on Health Canada’s site as a qualified service provider.

Services include review of proposed television, radio, and print advertising to establish compliance with the official regulations. Fully bilingual BCA analysts will also provide consultations and customized workshops to facilitate the development of product recognition and product credibility within this category.
