Olive Network takes on iVillage.com and NBCSports.com

Olive Canada is pushing forward with its vision to serve the media-buying community as a one-stop shop for reaching millions of online users.

Torstar Digital’s Olive Canada Network – which now reaches about 14.8 million unique Canadian visitors monthly, according to January comScore Media Metrix data – has begun handling online ad sales for two more premium online properties.

iVillage.com targets the female demo with editorial content on health, fitness, pregnancy, parenting, home, relationships, food and beauty. It reaches about 2.9 million Canadians every month. Other properties under the iVillage.com umbrella include Astrology.com, GardenWeb, and gURL.com – a leading online community for teenaged girls.

NBCSports.com, on the other hand, serves up the male demo by providing scores, news and highlights on the NHL, NFL, MLB, NBA, golf, tennis, NASCAR and college football and basketball. That deal added about 95,000 unique monthly visitors to the Olive Canada Network’s 14.8 million reach.
