CASSIES judges, new categories announced
The 2007 CASSIES won't be awarded until Nov. 6, but the entries deadline of July 12 is nearing.
Bill Durnan, EVP/chief convergent creative officer for Cossette Communication-Marketing Toronto, will head the judging panel for the 2007 CASSIES Awards. Joining Durnan as judges will be: Gina Banks, manager, global media and communications, Procter and Gamble; André Bouchard, VP planning and research, LXB Communication Marketing; Mark Childs, VP marketing, Campbell Company of Canada; Anne Fortin, VP/MD, Draft FCB; Michael Gramlow, CD interactive, Dentsu Canada; Lorraine Hughes, president, OMD Canada; René Leclerc, partner/CEO, Palm Arnold Communications; David Leonard, president, DDB Canada; Janet McNally, VP strategic planning, Lowe Roche; Christine Melançon, VP, Ipsos-Descarie; Jean-Charles Rocha, VP/director of media, Touché!PHD; David Rosenberg, partner, CD, Bensimon Byrne; Chantale Sajo, director of marketing, Alimentation Couche-Tard; Yvon Savaria, director of marketing, Sico; Robert Saxon, professor, director of graduate studies, Faculty of Design, OCAD; and Jeff Shinozaki, group director, brand marketing, Coca-Cola.
This year, two new categories – Best Use of Media and Canadian Contribution to a Global or Multi-Country Campaign – have been added to the line-up of honours. As well, the Import/Export category has been renamed Canadian Success Outside Canada. Its aim is to recognize work by Canadian companies that appears in other countries. Deadline for entries is July 12.
