MuchMoreMusic gets interactive with fall sked
The music net has several new shows for the A18-49 demo, including one that tests viewers on trashy celeb gossip via text messaging.
Tip of My Tongue, a half-hour quiz show premiering Sunday, August 19 at 8:39 pm ET, will test viewers on their useless pop-culture knowledge – the kind of stuff they pick up from celeb news and trash talking with friends. The show combines pop-up video trivia with text messaging, while standings will be maintained at MuchMoreMusic.com.
A second original series, Popaganda, will hit the sked as part of the net’s fall launch. The 10-episode hour-long series hits the Monday 10 pm ET time slot, starting August 20. Via expert commentary and celeb interviews, the show seeks answers to why we’re obsessed with dead rock stars, if there’s such a thing as a musical sell-out, and whether you can be too rich or too thin – and other burning questions of the day.
Other new shows on MuchMoreMusic’s fall slate include: Gene Simmons: Family Jewels (pictured – Sunday, August 19 at 8 pm ET), the ubiquitous reality show about the home life of the legendary KISS band member; Celebrity Fit Club II (Tuesday, August 21 at 10 pm ET), which pits overweight celebs against each other in teams competing to lose weight; Mission: Man Band (Date/Time TBA), takes four boy band legends – members of Color Me Badd, LFO, NSYNC and 98 Degrees – and makes them live together and perform as a new pop group; Rock Life (Date/Time TBA), a rockumentary series following the sons of Roy Orbison and Lou Adler as they strive for a hit record in L.A.; and, Live From Abbey Road (Wednesday, August 22 at 8 pm ET), a one-hour show showcasing top bands and songwriters in the world-renowned music studio.
On top of its unannounced concerts, MuchMoreMovie nights (Saturdays), and specials, MuchMoreMusic is also launching the fifth season of Listed (Saturday, August 25 at 6pm ET), a countdown show hosted by Traci Melchor and a panel of pop-culture pundits. Other returning shows include biography program The Story Of…, The Loop, MMMOnstage, MuchMoreMusic Live and the celebreality shows Flavor of Love and The Surreal Life.
