Testing now underway for Canadian Tire’s ‘revolutionary’ new banking product
Folks in Calgary and two Ontario cities are now seeing a powerful pitch for an account that significantly cuts interest fees.
Canadian Tire Financial Services launched the test portion of a multimedia marketing campaign to support the rollout of what it terms a ‘revolutionary’ new Canadian Tire One-and-Only account this week.
Potential customers in the pilot markets of Calgary and Ontario’s Kitchener-Waterloo and London are now seeing television, print and online ads for the new banking product. Its strategy is to help Canadians save thousands of dollars in interest payments so they can pay off their mortgages more quickly than with conventional accounts.
Developed by GJP Advertising, with media planning and buying by MBS Media (both of Toronto), the campaign also includes direct marketing elements, in-store signage and a microsite. Details for a later cross-Canada campaign are still under wraps.
