Coors Light backs ScoreMobile 2.0

The next generation of Score Media's mobile offering is customizable - and backed by a cold one.

Toronto’s Score Media is taking its mobile content to the next level by launching ScoreMobile 2.0 – which allows users to customize their on-the-go sports content – and Coors Light has signed on as title sponsor. The application is currently available on Telus, and the sports brand is set to roll it out on other carriers in the near future. ScoreMobile 2.0 follows last week’s launch of an iPhone edition.

ScoreMobile 2.0 gives fans up-to-the-minute scores, real-time box scores, plus stats and standings for major pro and college sports leagues. The next-gen, Java-based app now includes the customizable MyScoreboard, which lets users track their favourite teams from various leagues in one view, as well as a player tracker and a tool that enablesets team stats comparisons. As well, a peer-to-peer sharing feature lets users forward the app to friends.

The first generation of ScoreMobile attracted about 20,000 registrants, and Score Media Ventures SVP Benjamin Levy declared it the ‘most successful mobile application of its kind in Canada.’
