New Astral Media campaign touts its value to marketers

Breaking today, the initiative spotlights the enhanced capabilities and reach that resulted from acquiring Standard Radio.

Montreal-HQ’d Astral Media launched a new ad campaign today that celebrates its successful acquisition of Standard Radio’s assets. Target demo: Canadian advertisers and marketing agencies.

With creative by BOS Montreal and media buys done in house, the campaign highlights Astral Media’s ability to provide advertisers with a one-stop shop ‘that can reach clients anywhere in Canada with a high degree of precision,’ says Alain Bergeron, Astral’s VP brand management/corporate communications.

‘We are in the business of helping our customers reach and influence specific consumers on a very personal level,’ he explains. ‘Our newly expanded radio network, combined with our other assets such as TV, outdoor and iMedia (interactive), allows us to offer an unparalleled ability to create meaningful relationships with consumer audiences at multiple touch points across Canada.’

The campaign includes print ads in trade publications, as well as animated banners on popular trade e-newsletters. Event and sponsorship marketing are also in the works. Augmenting the initiative is a new interactive website that demonstrates Astral Media’s effectiveness and in-depth audience knowledge in a humourous way by promising to reach extremely well-defined consumer types through its wide portfolio of properties.
