CTV picks up October Road

The second season of the ABC series arrived unexpectedly last night before settling into the 9 pm Mondays simulcast slot, stepping in for Dancing with the Stars.

CTV announced on Tuesday that it’s picking up the ABC drama October Road and plugging the series into its Monday night schedule beginning Nov. 26. But, following the lead of the US network, the show had a sneak preview last night in ER‘s slot at 10 pm. Next Monday, it will be simulcast at 9 pm, stepping in after the conclusion of the fifth season of Dancing With the Stars.

October Road‘s six-episode first season aired in March on ABC, playing well with the 18-49 demographic and women, according to CTV. It stars Bryan Greenberg (One Tree Hill) as a literary celebrity who returns to his Massachusetts hometown after burning his bridges with old friends by telling their secrets in a novel.
