Yahoo and Canoe trade search and content
The two online destinations are set to share their strengths with each other across multiple sites.
Yahoo! Canada has formed a strategic alliance with Canoe.ca aimed at pushing Sun Media content out to the search portal’s audience of 18 million Canadians – or 80% of Canada’s monthly online population.
Canoe.ca and Sun Media will provide exclusive content in both English and French, in addition to classified services leveraging Sun Media’s 300 daily and weekly holdings. Yahoo! Canada will provide Canoe.ca and Sun Media online holdings with search enhancements and broader exposure across Canada.
The Yahoo! search functionality is now integrated into Canoe.ca and classifieds at vitevitevite.ca and Yahoo! Quebec or classifiedextra.ca. Integration of Canoe.ca content into Yahoo! Canada and Yahoo! Quebec is slated for completion by the end of the first quarter of 2008, and will include personals powered by Reseaucontact.com, autos powered by Autonet.ca and real estate powered by Micasa.ca.
