The CBC’s digital channel bold is set to offer viewers a June sked with content ranging from legendary jazz to computer-hacking conspiracy theorists on an X-Files spin-off series.
A 13-part X-Files spin-off series, The Lone Gunmen, will air Saturdays on bold, beginning June 21 at 8 pm ET. The show follows three computer-hacking geeks, played by Canadian actors Bruce Harwood, Tom Braidwood and Dean Haglund, who attempt to uncover the truth behind dark conspiracies.
On Thursdays, starting June 19 at 6 pm ET/PT, bold will broadcast Jazz: Music of the Century. The five-episode weekly series will highlight jazz concerts throughout the 20-year history of the Festival International de Jazz de Montreal. Themed episodes will feature interviews with iconic musicians like Miles Davis, Eric Clapton, Frank Zappa and Stan Getz.
Finally, Christopher Plummer: Man for all Stages takes a look at the famed Canadian actor’s life. Featuring interviews with those who have shaped, inspired and worked with him throughout his career, the two-hour special airs on Thursday, June 12 at 6 pm ET/PT. It looks at what makes Plummer tick and the roles he’s brought to life over the years.
