The qualifying events kick off this Thursday at the Eaton Centre and will run across the country, stopping at malls and consumer events leading up to a grand finale in Toronto in August. Up for grabs is $25,000 in cash and prizes.
Those who can’t make it out to the event can track the progress from a microsite, www.lg.ca/texting, and register to win tickets to the finals. The site features a cross-linking promotion with MuchMusic.com which extends to TV; Much on Demand viewers tuning in June 27 will have a chance to win an LG phone.
