Space nabs Battlestar Galactica spin-off
CTVglobemedia’s Space has acquired the two-hour pilot for Caprica, a spin-off of hugely popular Battlestar Galactica. A full series has yet to be officially green-lit.
Exec-produced by the BG team and written by 24‘s chief writer, the movie will be filmed in Vancouver. It’s billed as being ‘filled with action, intrigue and sexual politics,’ and follows the lives of two families more than half a century before Battlestar Galactica begins. Caprica stars Eric Stoltz (My Horrible Year! – pictured), Polly Walker (Rome), Esai Morales (Jericho) and Paula Malcolmson Deadwood).
