New online platform boosts Teletoon series
Best Ed's interactive website, set to launch in February, will feature gameplay and bonus toon rewards.
A new website tailored to Teletoon’s series Best Ed, launching in February, will offer six interactive games inspired by the series, featuring the characters Ed (a dog) and Buddy (a squirrel) in their world Swellville. The site, developed by Toronto’s Marblemedia Interactive, is for kids ages 6 to 11, and will have a points system to reward players with the option of viewing more animated content. There are also online promotional and advertising opps consisting of banners, games and sponsored videos.
The Cartoon Network and the Australian Broadcasting Corporation (ABC) are also airing the series, and have licensed the interactive component. The series is produced and distributed by Toronto-based 9 Story Entertainment (Peep and the Big Wide World, Skyland).
