Yahoo! Canada gets pet-centric
Yahoo! Canada helps P&G Pet Care extend its web reach to pet owners.
Procter & Gamble’s recently launched pet-centric website in Yahoo! Canada’s Lifestyle section has exceeded forecasts by at least 45% since its launch last month. The site, specifically designed for the Iams and Eukanuba brands, provides advice for pet owners on various pet care needs using breed guides, photos and videos. Iams and Eukanuba also provide coupons through the Yahoo!-designed site.
‘We know the Internet is the first place many of our customers turn to for information about animal care,’ says Alan Rego, P&G Pet Care’s external relations manager. ‘The mission of Procter & Gamble Pet Care is to enhance the well-being of dogs and cats.’
The site offers advice from animal behaviour and training experts and health and nutrition advisors, as well as popular blog sites like The Dog Whisperer and Think Like a Cat and the long-standing publication Dogs in Canada.
Yahoo! sites were visited by more than 16 million Canadians last month.
