Hasbro bows Pony promo
The 25th anniversary of the My Little Pony brand will see a contest, microsite and special broadcasts.
Hasbro is teaming up with Teletoon to roll out an online promotion celebrating the 25th anniversary of the My Little Pony brand, with media handled by Toronto’s Zenith Optimedia. It includes an online contest, ‘My Little Pony 25th Birthday Cheer,’ a microsite and special on-air broadcasts, all targeting girls ages 2 to 11 and their moms.
Contestants can vie to win one of seven grand prize packages based on their favourite Pony personality until Dec. 22. Starsong’s prize pack, for example, includes a pedestal karaoke system, digital camcorder, My Little Pony amusement park play-set and an assortment of Pony toys.
The microsite on teletoon.com includes the interactive timeline ‘Once Upon a Pony,’ which gives an overview of the brand, as well as My Little Pony games. Teletoon will air A Very Pony Place on Nov. 24 and Dec. 8 at 2 pm ET/PT, as well as The Runaway Rainbow on Dec. 1 and 15, also at 2 pm.
