Global readies 16:9

Global adds a new half-hour magazine series to its winter roster.

This Sunday, Global is rolling out a new half-hour magazine series called 16:9. The show looks at ordinary Canadians caught in extraordinary situations and will be produced in-house, with investigative reporter and Toronto native Mary Garofalo hosting, and other reporters from Global News and Global National.

The first episode will focus on accused murderer Mark Twitchell, an Edmonton-based filmmaker who caused a media frenzy with reports that his fascination with the crime drama Dexter may have inspired his alleged crime. It airs Sunday at 6:30 pm.
