Club Med preps biz travellers for takeoff

Calgary airport advertising spans wall murals, column wraps and digital screens.

Club Med’s latest campaign is hitting the Calgary International Airport this season, luring high-income biz travellers from the moment they approach the domestic ticketing area through to the departure gates.

The campaign includes wall murals modified to include Club Med brochures as well as decals on the airport’s moving sidewalks, windows and column wraps. Fifteen-second ads also air continuously throughout the departure area on Pattison Outdoor’s digital ad network, YYC-TV.

‘The relaunch of the Club Med brand was a wonderful opportunity for us to demonstrate how airport advertising can reach the target prospects most effectively,’ says Mark Breadner, director of sales at Pattison Outdoor, Southern Alberta.

As of the third quarter this year, domestic, international and trans-border traffic through the airport has increased 12% since 2006.

Media buys were handled by Carat Montreal.
