SMG Global Product Review team drafts Richards
In addition to her current role as CEO of Starcom MediaVest Group Canada, Lauren Richards will lead and chair the agency's reinvention this January.
New leadership and vision is coming to Starcom MediaVest Group’s product review committee. SMG Canada CEO Lauren Richards is chairing the global media agency network’s recently announced reinvention process, designed to raise the creativity of SMG’s communications product globally.
The 27-year media industry veteran has been a key contributor in numerous Cannes media nods, both shortlists and Lions, in addition to creative media honors over the course of her career. Under her leadership, SMG Canada was recently named strategy magazine’s Media Agency of the Year.
Richards served as the first Canadian judge for the Cannes Media Lions in 2000 and helped develop both the National Advertising Awards Young Media Cannes Initiatives and the Young Cannes Media Challenge with the Globe and Mail. Prior to joining SMG, Richards spent 18 years at Cossette Media.
