Scotiabank hires PHD
The assignment includes strategic planning, media planning and buying for all Scotiabank products and services in Canada.
After a competitive review process, Scotiabank has appointed PHD Canada as its media AOR.
Taking effect over the next 60 days following a transition process, the assignment includes strategic planning, media planning and buying for all Scotiabank products and services in Canada.
Citing the growing complexity of the media environment, VP marketing at Scotiabank Rick White said in a release, ‘We wanted a media partner that can lead us to achieve innovative and sustainable solutions ensuring that we aggressively build the Scotiabank brand and our business.’
PHD Canada president and CEO Fred Forster says he sees the win as a ‘tremendous opportunity to use media in creative ways to help amplify and achieve Scotiabank’s vision of how it will differentiate its brand.’
In an unrelated review that concluded in December, PHD was also awarded the Scotiabank International Banking assignment for the Caribbean and Latin America, regions where Scotiabank has extensive operations. That business will be jointly serviced by PHD Canada and PHD offices in those areas.
PHD Canada is part of Omnicom Media Group’s PHD network, present in 45 countries throughout all continents.
