House returns to the top
BBM/Nielsen Top 30: Jan. 19 – 25, 2009

 

Here are the national champs (for all persons 2+; all times ET) according to BBM/Nielsen for Jan. 19 – 25, 2009.

Monday: House on Global at 8 pm was the most-watched program with 2.425 million viewers (CSI Miami on CTV was the winner the previous week with 2.067 million viewers.)

Tuesday: American Idol at 8 pm on CTV took the top spot again, albeit with a smaller audience of 1.953 million viewers (the reality show had an audience of 2.472 million as the most-watched program the previous week).

Wednesday: Criminal Minds on CTV at 9 pm was most viewed with 2.05 million viewers (ousting American Idol, which was the top rated program on the previous Wednesday with 2.378 million viewers).

Thursday: Grey’s Anatomy was back on top at 9 pm on CTV with 2.233 million viewers (beating out CSI, which won the night the week prior with 2.566 million viewers).

Friday: CTV Evening News at 6 pm was most watched with 1.409 million viewers (pushing out Flashpoint, which was the most-watched program with 1.741 million on CTV the previous week).

Saturday: the NHL all-star skills event on CBC at 7 pm skated to the top with 1.358 million viewers (CBC’s Hockey Night in Canada was the most-watched the previous Saturday with 1.075 million viewers).

Sunday: CBC’s 6 pm broadcast of the NHL all-star game in Montreal received 1.516 million viewers – the highest in nine years (Desperate Housewives was the most-watched the previous Sunday with 1.648 million viewers).
