RMB brings in Lion-winning radio creative to stimulate the industry
The president of award-winning Oink Ink Radio will provide tips and ideas at creative networking event.
The Radio Marketing Bureau (RMB) announced yesterday that Dan Price, founder and president of US radio production company Oink Ink Radio Inc., will be the keynote speaker at this year’s RMB Crystal Awards Creative Summit on March 12.
‘Getting good creative on the radio makes the buy work,’ Gary Belgrave, RMB president, tells MiC. ‘We do have a lot of awards for Canadian radio creative around the world but I think we can still do better.’
New York-based Oink Ink Radio last year won a bronze Lion from the Cannes International Advertising Festival for a Durex Condoms spot produced for Toronto ad agency MacLaren McCann. Price will provide hints, tips and ideas to boost a radio commercial’s effectiveness. His address will be followed by a panel discussion with Terry O’Reilly, co-founder/director of Pirate Toronto; Alan Cross, senior program director of Corus Interactive and Integrated Solutions; and Wray Ellis, creative director, RMB.
The morning creative summit at the Fairmont Royal York Hotel will be followed by the gala RMB Crystal Awards Show from noon to 2:30 pm.
