M&M dudes seed online Easter egg hunt

Eggs can be found on television and online as part of Mars Canada's 'M&M Speck-tacular Egg hunt.'

Mars Canada is inviting Canadians to ‘Join the Hunt’ in the M&M Speck-tacular Eggs promo.

The campaign, by BBDO Toronto and Proximity Canada in partnership with New York’s Firstborn Media, encourages Canadians to visit JoinTheHunt.ca, where they can accumulate points by finding eggs and playing mini-games, as well as entering PIN numbers which are included in specially-marked packages of the candy eggs. The more points people gain, the better their chances of winning one of thousands of instant prizes, or one of three grand prize getaways.

OMD handled the media buy directing consumers to the website, which includes two 30-second TV spots airing nationally in Canada on both conventional and specialty stations. Eggs are also hidden on approximately 260 websites, including MSN.ca, Yahoo.ca, YouTube.com, and MySpace.com.
