Livedress.com layers on retailers

Livedress.com has partnered with fashion retailers Tristan, Dynamite, French Connection, Browns and Suzy Shier, and will be touting the ties in its first major radio promo this month. The shopping site, which acts like a social network for shopaholics seeking great finds, dedicates a page to each store and offers special deals to members.

A 30-second radio spot promoting the new site will run on Toronto’s Virgin 99.9 starting June 15. The creative, which was done in house as was the media buy, uses a quote from a Globe and Mail article that states Livedress has the ‘drug-like lure of Facebook and the thrill of bargain hunting.’

‘The retail partners are essential to our success so we are highlighting them as the call-to-action in our spot,’ says founder Jonathan Davids.

The free site, a property of TheSoko.com, acts as a central feed, updating its approximately 1,000 female users, aged 18 to 49, with retail deals, while allowing them to view each others’ content. Livedress also provides sponsored listings and e-blasts for advertisers. It receives about 4,500 unique hits per month (Google Analytics) before the promo.
