Cheapflights.ca improves ad targeting opps
The travel deals site redesigns to give advertisers more visibility and consumers an easier online experience.
Searching for travel deals on Cheapflights.ca got a little easier this week thanks to a redesign that offers brands more visibility and consumers more information.
With a reported 400,000 unique visitors per month according to Webtrends, Cheapflights.ca offers users at-a-glance comparisons of flight prices and dates across multiple brands. The redesigned site organizes the flights by brand (such as Expedia, Orbitz) and now includes a logo with each listing. The site now allows users to see additional flight options by simply expanding the listing’s on-screen box instead of having to click and open a new screen. For advertisers with multiple offers, a calendar logo is now displayed that lets the user view all options by date.
Additionally, advertisers can now promote other related travel offers, such as car rentals or hotels, through the Cheapflights Hot Deals section or through the Cheapflights e-newsletter, which allows for more targeted advertising depending on the options the user has chosen when signing up.
The new pages are live on Cheapflights’ Canadian, US, UK, and German sites and will be launched later for the Australian and European sites. The redesign and travel guide content is all produced in-house.
