Zoom pumps up reach with Gym TV acquisition
The 160-venue digital channel boosts the media co's established UK and North American presence in fitness venues.
As part of its global expansion, Montreal-based OOH media co Zoom Media and its subsidiary ClubCom International have acquired UK-based Gym Screen Media, aka Gym TV.
The acquisition adds 160 venues to Zoom’s current roster of 650 digital venues in fitness facilities across the UK. In total, Zoom operates 2,200 digital venues in fitness centres around the world.
The deal is part of a flurry of acquisitions Zoom has made in the past year, which will add 20 million monthly impacts for Zoom advertisers in the UK.
‘Amalgamating the Gym TV network with our own will allow us to offer critical mass of the gym audience for advertisers seeking to reach fitness members across the UK market,’ Dennis Roche, president of Zoom Media Corp, said in a release.
