Bell dials up big TO buy: Media Monitors radio rankings Nov. 2 to 8, 2009

Bell Mobility leads radio spending in Toronto, while long-time incumbent Alarm Force remains #1 in Montreal.

The launch of Bell’s official campaign behind its new network drove it up the radio rankings last week, hitting #1 after not appearing at all the week previous. Porter Airlines found itself back in the top-three game at #2 after dropping to #15 the week before, and The Brick too reclaimed its place on the podium with a third place ranking. Notable movers on the Toronto list for the week of Nov. 2 to 8 include Tim Hortons, up from #22 to #7, and Carrier, from #47 to #5.

In Montreal, the story stays the same for long-time incumbent Alarm Force at #1, but the Montreal Canadiens shot up the list to #3 from #251 the week previous. In #2 was Porter Airlines, moving into the top three from #4. Notable movers on the Montreal list include Goodyear, up from #335 to #7, and both Epson and IKEA, newly appearing on the list.
