Pizza Pizza peppers Toronto: Media Monitors radio rankings: Jan. 18 to Jan. 24, 2010
Pizza Pizza sliced the radio airwaves with more spots in the Toronto market this week than anyone else, cooking up a 186-place jump to #1, according to spending rankings for the week of Jan. 18 to Jan. 24.
Hot on its heels was Tim Hortons, picking up steam with a five-position jump to #2, while The Home Depot climbed the ladder five spots to take over #3.
There were three big debuts: East Side Mario’s ba-da-binged its way to #6 followed closely by Kelsey’s at #7 and tax software QuickBooks at #8.
In Montreal, security company AlarmForce remained top dog, followed by Hyundai at #2 and Porter Airlines retaining its #3 position for the second week in a row.
Retailer Le SuperClub Vidéotron hiked 324 positions to claim #5, and other large leapers include bedding retailer Dormez-vous (#14 -#6) and the Montreal Canadiens (#82 to #9), with impressive top 10 debuts by Ford (#8) and Autorité Des Marchés Financiers (#10).
