Grammys go big for Global

Music's big night grows 64% over last year's broadcast, and ET Canada pre-show doubles its audience.

Thanks to Lady Gaga’s heels, Beyonce’s studs and Taylor Swift’s oh-so-sweetness, the Grammys brought it home for Global on Sunday night with chart-topping numbers.

The broadcast netted 2.7 viewers (2+) nationally for the network, a 63% increase over last year’s 1.7 million viewers (which were not measured using BBM’s PPMs). In the adult 18-to-49 demographic, Global grabbed 1.3 million sets of eyeballs.

The awards show itself wasn’t the only attention-grabber that night. The ET Canada pre-show on Global also did well, bringing in 900,000 viewers nationally, a 166% increase over last year.
