Telus dials up top spot in Toronto: Media Monitors radio rankings, Feb. 8 – 14, 2010

 

Debuting at #1 in terms of radio buys, Telus assumed top mantle in the Toronto market this week, according to spending rankings for the week of Feb. 8 to Feb. 14.

Spence Diamonds also enjoyed a gem run, jumping up 18 positions to claim #2, while Dove sailed to a #3 debut.

There were a handful of big movers in the Toronto market, including a six-spot promotion for McDonald’s to #4, seven leaps for the Canadian International Autoshow to #6; travel service SellOff Vacations.com debuting at #7; Global TV station jumping 23 spots to #9, and a #10 debut by Mitsubishi Lancer.

In Montreal, Hyundai revved into pole position on the strength of a 320-spot leap, with last week’s champ Dormez-Vous sliding down to #2, and runner-up AlarmForce slipping into #3.

Le Superclub Vidéotron jumped 179 slots to #4, and discount department store Brault & Martineau jumped from #18 to #6. Canadian Tire and Telus Mobility increased their Montreal ad buys to snag the #9 and #10 positions respectively.
