Survivor, 24 only dramas in top 10 during Olympics: BBM

 

Here are the top-ranked shows in Canada (for all persons 2+; all times ET), according to BBM Canada, for Feb. 22 to Feb. 28, 2010.

Sunday: The Olympic men’s hockey game final between Canada and the US at 3 p.m. attracted a whopping 16.639 million viewers, followed closely by the Olympic closing ceremonies that peaked at about 14.323 million viewers.

Olympic prime time (6 p.m. to 2 a.m.) had a steady base of 3.750 million viewers for every day of the week, while Olympic daytime attracted 2.233 viewers Monday through Sunday.

Monday: 24 on Global at 9 p.m. had 1.040 million viewers. (The program also came closest to Olympic ratings the previous week with 1.218 million viewers.)

Tuesday: American Idol on A at 8 p.m. had an audience of 1.039 million. (NCIS came closest the previous week with 1.183 million viewers.)

Wednesday, Friday, Saturday: CTV News at 5:30 had 1.830 million viewers, a figure that it retained for every day of the week except Sunday. (Dragons’ Den on CBC had 1.317 million as the top program the previous week.)

Thursday: Survivor: Heroes vs. Villains on Global at 8 p.m. came the closest to reaching Olympic-sized ratings with 1.977 million viewers. (Survivor had 2.228 million viewers the previous week.)
