The French-language entertainment news site is promoting its new look with an online ad campaign and contest.

Montreal-based French-language entertainment news website,, has relaunched with increased ad opps and an online promotional blitz.

Along with the standard online ads, the site can now offer double big box ads and accommodate pull-down banners, Patrick Pierra, president, content, BV! Media, tells MiC. recieves an average of 300,000 unique visitors per month (ComScore).

Pierra is also working on content and marketing partnerships on a videos page, which he hopes will be operational by the end of the year.

To promote the site, cultural institutions are being offered discounted ad rates in exchange for a ‘presented by’ sponsorship credit at events.

There’s also going to be a contest at the end of September, with ads on a selection of the 400 sites parent company BV! Media represents, with the target of 18- to 40-year-olds in Quebec. Contestants can enter their names to win tickets to an upcoming concert in Montreal.
