Nickelodeon gets T.U.F.F.

The Corus channel will air the premieres during a free channel preview that runs from Dec. 15 to Jan. 31, 2011.

Nickelodeon Canada is celebrating the end of the year and the start of a new one with two new shows and a free channel preview.

Running from Dec. 15 to Jan. 31, 2011, the preview will be available to 95% of Canadian homes with digital service through Rogers, Shaw Direct, Cogeco, Videotron and Bell.

The two new shows, T.U.F.F. Puppy and Planet Sheen, are scheduled to premiere in Canada during the free preview.

T.U.F.F. Puppy starts Jan. 5 at 6 p.m. The show features a cast of animal spies who are members of the Turbo Undercover Fighting Force, or T.U.F.F., who fight the members of the Diabolical Order Of Mayhem, or D.O.O.M. The star is Dudley Puppy, a dim-witted dog who accidentally becomes one of the secret agents and is paired with Kitty Katswell, who is significantly more competent than Dudley.

Planet Sheen, which premieres Jan. 7 at 6 p.m., is a spinoff of The Adventures of Jimmy Neutron, Boy Genius. It showcases the wildly hyperactive Sheen Guevera Estevez, who accidentally rockets himself to a planet inhabited by creatures who thinks he’s their saviour.

Nickelodeon Canada is promoting the new shows on-air and online, and the free preview will be promoted on YTV and Treehouse TV, and also online.
