CraveOnline opens Canadian sales office

The US-based network of websites will now have a dedicated sales team based in Toronto.

US-based website network CraveOnline has announced that it is opening its first Canadian sales office.

The network, made up of 57 websites targeting males 18 to 34, has seen ‘dramatic growth and success in Canada’ and decided that continued growth would be best supported by a dedicated team, David Cohn, SVP sales, CraveOnline, said in a release.

Previously, Canadian inventory for the online ad network was repped by California-based Gorilla Nation, which is owned by the same parent company as CraveOnline, Evolve Media Corp.

The team will be led by former Gorilla Nation account exec Michael Giles.

Opportunities available for CraveOnline’s network of websites include display, rich media display, video, mobile, social and customized and integrated programs. The network has also added Canadian editors to its content staff, which will create more opportunities for brand integrations and sponsorships for Canadian advertisers, a spokesperson for the brand said.

Sites in the CraveOnline network include UFC news site and movie news website CraveOnline attracts 2.4 million unique visitors each month in Canada (ComScore).
