Score Media’s online throwdown with WWE
WWE content will be available on mobile, online and VOD as part of a new multi-year rights agreement with Score Media.
In the blue corner: John Cena, Triple H and Randy Orton will be back on The Score, jumping off ladders and slamming their heads on steel steps, after Score Media renewed its long-standing deal with US scripted sports entertainment giant WWE.
The latest multi-year agreement for the first time hands Score Media online, mobile and VOD rights to WWE content.
And The Score and WWE will team up on new original WWE content for Canadians across all platforms.
‘There will be new and expanded opportunities for advertisers to reach this coveted, young audience as part of our expanded digital content distribution,’ Benjie Levy, EVP and COO of Score Media, tells MiC.
He adds that The Score is currently working on ways to make the best use of this content across its various platforms.
‘This extension gives fans all of the exciting WWE entertainment they could ask for across multiple media platforms,’ Levy said, in a statement.
