Rogers hangs on to top spot: Media Monitors, March 21 to 27, 2011

Canadian Tire brings it in Montreal, debuting at #1 in the radio rankings, while Rogers tops T.O.

Rogers Communications stayed on top of the airwaves for the week of March 21 to 27, 2011, buying the most radio airtime for the second week in a row and helping wireless carriers remain the #1 buying category in Toronto.

Petro-Canada stayed at #2 for the second week in a row and Canadian Tire joined the list at #3 with its recently launched ‘Bring it On’ campaign.

The biggest move of the week for Toronto came from Telus, which jumped from #13 last week to #4 this week. Also making moves were Ford, which dropped from #3 last week to #8 this week, and Sears, which went from #4 to #9.

Canadian Tire jumped onto the list at #1 in Montreal, knocking retailer The Source into the #2 spot.

Also new to the rankings this week in Montreal is Réno-Dépôt. The biggest moves for the week came from Alarmforce, who dipped from number four to number seven and Desjardins General Insurance which dropped from #2 to #5.

The #1 category of the week in Montreal was automotive parts and service, with 233 spots.
