Petro Canada stays on top in T.O.: Media Monitors, April 4 to 10, 2011

New campaigns occupy the top two spots in Montreal in the radio rankings this week, while the Toronto market holds steady.

Petro Canada stayed in the #1 spot in the Media Monitors radio rankings for the week of April 4 to 10, with Public Mobile holding steady at #2 for the second week.

The top two holding steady meant Gasoline Dealer Services & Promotions stayed as the #1 category with 872 spots. Wireless Carriers followed, buying 796 spots in the city for the week.

Pizza Pizza is new to the list at #3 in Toronto. A big increase in radio purchasing comes from Citytv, which jumped from #100 to #5 for this measurement period. Others leaping up the list include The Bay, which moved from #45 last week to #6; The Home Depot, which jumped from #20 to #7; and the BlackCreek Summer Music Festival, which went from #28 to #8.

Montreal had a new #1 for the week of April 4 to 10, with Hyundai driving into the top spot. The Bay made the leap into #2, from #30 the week prior. Hyundai’s big buy caused Cars & Lt Trucks, Asian Factory to have the most radio buys for the period, with 175 spots.

Other moves of note in Montreal for the period include the Liberal Party of Canada, which jumped from #46 to #4, ahead of the election campaign.
