Public Mobile retains top radio ad buy slot: Media Monitors, May 9 to 15, 2011
The Canadian cell phone company stays on top in Toronto, while Hyundai joins the list in Montreal.
Public Mobile is the #1 radio advertisment buyer in Toronto for the week of May 9 to 15, making it the cellphone company’s third week at the top. The brand fended off The Home Depot, which jumped from the #6 spot to #2 in the rankings for the week.
There were some big changes for the week from auto companies in Toronto who climbed in the rankings, with European manufacturers BMW and Mercedes-Benz jumping to #9 and #10 respectively, from low rankings #46 and #39.
In Montreal, Hyundai raced onto the charts and grabbed the #1 spot. The Home Depot, also previously uncharted, secured the #2 spot, matching its Toronto radio ad buy rating.
Montreal’s previous top position holder, the Government of Canada, dropped to #3. Previously at #2, The Co-operators fell from the list entirely.
