Top Chef Canada finale takes the cake
The season ender delivered record-breaking numbers for Food Network Canada.
Monday’s Top Chef Canada finale was a Food Network Canada audience record breaker, bringing in 410,000 viewers (2+) for the night, the most for any episode of the show, according to BBM overnight data.
The viewership also bumps the series up into the position of highest-rated in the channel’s history, Shaw Media said in a release.
The winner of the weekly chef battle was Vancouver’s Dale MacKay of ensemble restaurant.
Top Chef Canada premiered to an audience of 381,700 earlier this year, making it the channel’s highest-rated premiere of an original Canadian program ever.
Shaw Media has given the green light to season two of Top Chef Canada, which is set to air on Food Network Canada in 2012.
