MediaCom Canada wins Mobilicity
MediaCom Canada has been awarded the planning and buying business for Mobilicity.
The mobile phone co, which most recently worked with MPG, moved the account without a review and will start working with the Toronto office of MediaCom Canada on Dec. 1, according to a press release.
“As Canada’s smart mobile carrier, we are impressed by MediaCom’s ability to cleverly and efficiently leverage media to help us grow our business and our brand,” said Anthony Booth, CCO at Mobilicity. “We are confident that our partnership with MediaCom and its strength in media, insight, business sciences and analytics will play an important role in driving strategic thinking through to execution.”
The Mobilicity win is the third for MediaCom Canada this year, having also added Mars-Wrigley and Yum! Restaurants Canada to its client roster in 2011.
MiC recently caught up with Jamie Edwards, CEO of MediaCom Canada on the first-year anniversary of taking the position to talk about the company and what sets it apart in the marketplace.
