MTV scores with two new original series
The premiere episodes of MTV Creeps and Jersey Shore at Sheena's House rank high for the Bell Media channel.
The season five premiere of Jersey Shore along with the launch of new MTV original series Jersey Shore at Sheena’s House and MTV Creeps drew enough viewers to make the Bell Media channel the top non-sports specialty channel for teens 12 to 17, adults 18 to 34 and females 12 to 34 last Thursday between 7 p.m. and midnight, according to numbers from BBM Canada provided by Bell Media.
Jersey Shore at Sheena’s House, featuring MTV Live co-host Sheena Snively garnered 101,000 (2+) viewers for its premiere on Jan. 5 at 9:30 p.m.
The premiere of season five of Jersey Shore got 444,000 (2+) viewers at 10 p.m., enough to make it the number three show for the night across conventional and specialty channels among viewers aged 12 to 34 (267,000), according to BBM Canada numbers provided by Bell Media. That’s down from last season’s channel topping 808,000 viewers, which it pulled in for the seaon four premiere.
The launch episode of MTV Creeps, which features a panel of social media savvy folk analyzing the habits of internet addicts at 11 p.m. got 132,000 viewers, according to numbers from BBM Canada. The show moved to its new timeslot this week, Tuesday nights at 9:30 p.m.
