Citytv picks up Katie

Rogers Media channel Citytv has announced it has the exclusive Canadian broadcast rights to Katie Couric’s new live daytime talk show, Katie.
“Licensing Katie signals Citytv’s commitment to a dynamic and successful daytime television schedule,” said Malcolm Dunlop, executive VP of television programming and operations at Rogers Media, in a release. “We’re thrilled to be working with Disney-ABC to bring viewers what we believe will be the breakout hit daytime program of the fall season.”
The show, which is being produced by ABC in the US, will begin airing in Sept. 2012.
