MediaCom Sport expands

The sporting division of the GroupM agency is set to open a North American office within the next three months.

MediaCom Sport, the specialist sports sponsorship and strategic team within GroupM agency MediaCom has announced it is expanding, opening a North American office within the next three months.

In addition to an office servicing North America, MediaCom Sport has launched an office in Moscow, with Ken Crease, former managing director of Sport Media Group heading up the new office, according to a release from the agency.

MediaCom Sport will also be opening offices in Latin American and Europe, which are on the same three-month timeline as the North American location. The sporting division of the GroupM agency announced a global deal to support brand extensions for retired Brazilian soccer star, Pelé, ahead of the 2014 FIFA World Cup and 2016 Summer Olympics, which will both be held in that country.
