Big Brother Canada names host

Shaw Media has announced Canadian TV personality Arisa Cox as the host of the inaugural season of Big Brother Canada, which kicks off on Feb. 27 on Slice.

Cox has also worked as co-host on E! News Weekend, appeared on Canadian reality series The Lofters and written fashion commentary for the National Post, according to a release from Shaw Media.

Slice also announced it will be running a national free preview of its channel alongside the launch of Big Brother Canada. The preview will start on Feb. 25 and run until March 31 in nearly 10 million homes across the country.

Big Brother Canada unveiled details of its digital side last week, announcing it will launch the Big Brother Canada Power Play game, which gives viewers the chance to predict and influence outcomes in the house.
