Postmedia names new Pacific Newspaper Group publisher

Postmedia Network has announced the appointment of Gordon Fisher to the position of president and publisher of the Pacific Newspaper Group, which includes the print and digital versions of the Vancouver Sun and The Province newspapers in British Columbia.
Fisher, who most recently worked as Postmedia’s EVP, Eastern Canada, and president, National Post, takes over the role of president and publisher of the Pacific Newspaper Group from Kevin Bent who has decided to leave the organization, according to a release. Bent’s other responsibilities as EVP Western Canada will not be replaced.
The role of president, National Post and EVP Eastern Canada at Postmedia will also no longer exist, with Douglas Kelly staying on as publisher at the National Post.
