CTV’s Oscar ratings match 2012 numbers

Canadian overnight ratings for the Academy Awards on CTV on Sunday night at 6.1 million average viewers matched last year’s audience.
The 2013 Oscar telecast peaked at around 7.2 million viewers when Christopher Plummer handed Anne Hathaway her best supporting actress trophy, according to BBM Canada data.
That virtually matched with peak viewing last year at 7.03 million viewers when Christopher Plummer accepted his first Oscar for best supporting actor.
The Academy Award ratings weren’t able to match the 6.6 million Canadians that tuned into Super Bowl XLVII on CTV.
