GroupM creates new C-suite position in Canada
Stuart Garvie has been named to the role of chief commercial officer.
GroupM Canada has created a new position at the C-suite level, adding Stuart Garvie as its chief commercial officer.
Garvie will work with CEOs of each GroupM agency in the country to create shared specialist services designed to benefit clients in areas like sports sponsorship, entertainment marketing, data and analytics, and mobile, according to a company release. In addition, he will also lead GroupM’s consolidated trading approach with the agency’s dedicated trading leads.
Before signing on as chief commercial officer, Garvie worked with GroupM agency Maxus as its deputy global trading officer since July 2011. Prior to working at Maxus, Garvie was the media purchasing manager in the UK and Ireland for Danone.
