Corus Entertainment’s W Network is launching Be the Boss Canada, a new eight-part competition series slated to premiere in June.

Produced by the team behind Undercover Boss Canada, the series gives employees at national franchises an opportunity to rise through the ranks and become a boss through a series of head-to-head challenges.

The series will follow two outstanding employees from a particular company, who think they are going through a week-long series of challenges to win a huge promotion. Unbeknownst to the competitors, they are also battling to win their own franchise.

“Louder and fiercely competitive, Be The Boss Canada is a perfect extension of Undercover Boss Canada. This new series offers an emotional and intensely entertaining insider’s view into a once in a lifetime career competition,” said Corus Entertainment VP original programming, lifestyle, reality, factual entertainment Vibika Bianchi in a statement.

Companies on board so far for the series are Pizza Pizza, featured in the series premiere, Anytime Fitness and Pita Pit, with three more companies to be announced at a later date.
