Food Network Canada serves up its fall schedule

The lineup for the specialty includes new competition series Cutthroat Kitchen (pictured) and will offer both ad and sponsorship opportunities.

Shaw Media has unveiled the complete lineup of mouth-watering new and returning series that will be featured on Food Network Canada’s schedule for the upcoming fall TV season, which kicks off Aug. 18.

The new series begin rolling out Tuesday Aug. 27 at 11 p.m., with the series premiere of Food Court Wars, while The Shed joins the Friday lineup in the 10:30 p.m. slot starting Aug. 30.

Meanwhile, Sundays will get a shakeup starting Sept. 1, with the debuts of Trisha’s Southern Kitchen at 11:30 a.m. and Cutthroat Kitchen at 10 p.m., while Rachel Vs. Guy Kids Cookoff will premiere the following Sunday at 8 p.m.

Rounding out the list of new series, Thieves Inc. joins the Thursday lineup at 10:30 p.m. starting Sept. 12, and Restaurant Express will join the specialty channel’s schedule later in the fall.

Returning for additional helpings on Food Network Canada are series like The Great Food Truck Race, which premieres Sundays at 9 p.m. starting Aug. 18., and Canadian series Restaurant Takeover, which will air Wednesdays at 9 p.m. beginning Aug. 28.

Also returning are popular series like cooking competition series Chopped, which will get a Canadian version starting in winter 2014, and Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives.

Sayurie Naidoo, publicity coordinator, lifestyle channels, Shaw Media, tells MiC that there will be a number of ad and sponsorship opportunities available around the fall lineup, but was unable to provide specific details.
