Molson, Tim Hortons to sponsor Sportsnet reality series

Four major Canadian brands will be marketed on multiple platforms as Rogers Media picks up the Canadian rights to the latest cycle of an NHL and HBO TV sports franchise.

Four major Canadian brands are set to sponsor 24/7 Red Wings/Maple Leafs: Road to the NHL Winter Classic, a collaboration between Rogers Media, the NHL and HBO.

Molson Canadian, Tim Hortons, Recharge with Milk and Ford F-150 signed sponsorship agreements that will see their brands marketed on Rogers Media’s TV, radio, digital, mobile and print platforms.

The sponsorship deals come as Sportsnet gets set to air a four-part documentary series, 24/7 Red Wings/Maple Leafs: Road to the NHL Winter Classic, on Dec. 15, 2014.

That’s a day after HBO debuts the latest installment of its 24/7 franchise with the NHL, which Rogers Media has acquired for the Canadian market.
